Oh, how I love teething babies and Walmart

Andrew is getting four teeth at once. Yes, it's ridiculous. He's doing this whiny-fussy thing that's not his normal routine. It's migraine inducing. Also, he's started this holding his breath cry and he starts to turn purple and I have to blow in his face so he'll breathe. Nice.
Ok, so I've been calling around town looking for the Barbe 3-story dream house. I'm been on bold with Walmart for 10 minutes now. Earlier, Toys R Us never came back to the phone. All this for two little girls who talk about it incessently and will probably play with it for 2 weeks after Christmas.

Woo-hoo! School's out

I can't believe school got out today and we have no summer plans. Molly put her bikini on after school like we were going to the beach or something. Katie is a goof. They colored on themselves with sidewalk chalk today and I thought it might be easier to hose them off, but put them in the tub anyway.

Too much

I have too much to do, so that's why I'm writing this instead of doing everything I need to do. Crazy me. Really, I'm waiting to see if Andrew is going to stay asleep and then I'll go to sleep.
I cleaned the playroom today and there are new carpet stains. Arrgh, kids. I'm about to banish sippy cups from everywhere but the kitchen. Damn sippy cups. Spill proof? Maybe. Turn it over and leave it there while it slowly drips--proof? No way.

Such is life

Woo-hoo, a lot's been happening. Scott started a new job in Texas, thought we were going to move to Houston; he gets in a car accident, breaks 9 ribs and his tailbone, comes hope to recover. The day before he is to go back, lo and behold a company calls to interview him for a job in Metairie that our neighbor reccomended him for. He does great at the interview, they say they'll call him that night. That was Friday. They didn't call. Scott left Saturday, drove to Terrell, Tx and was in excrutiating pain. All the I-told-you-sos didn't help. The company calls Saturday night. Scott gets the job, now he's on his way back. Meanwhile, Molly's imaginary friends, Jennifer and Sassy went with him and Molly says they're already back, 'cause they took their own car. More later.

Back home after evacuation

Well, we're back home after the evacuation. Man, it's weird here -- everything was closed when we got in because of the curfew and we have nothing in the fridge. Scott had already cleaned it out, thank goodness. I'm so glad to be home and so relieved we have a home to come back to. If you have a warm place to sleep tonight, count your blessings.

Andrew is a month old already

Well, our Andrew Scott is a month old already and I'm hoping he'll be sleeping on his own before he's 18. The girls love him and Katie likes to pet him. I think she has him confused with the kitten, Tinkerbell. Scott got them a kitten when he was in. Pics to come.

Our house is a very very very fine house

We closed on the house today -- it's all over but the moving. It looks great and I love all the colors I picked. Going to go buy paint tomorrow. Too bad they wouldn't paint the colors I wanted. Guess you can't have everything. Pictures soon.

House is looking great!

Went to the new house to measure for blinds and curtains yesterday and wow, is it looking good! Still don't know what I'm going to do with the 120 inch living room windows. Wish I would have paid more attention in home ec in 8th grade, I could sew curtains myself. Funny that I have 2 sewing machines and can't use either one. I'm a mess.

We went to Kat's Easter Party and had too much fun. Katie tried to drink the egg dye and ruined her dress, then got way too into cookie decorating. Molly loved everything, especially the egg hunt.

It's a Boy!

Big news -- it's a boy for us! He's going to be in trouble with two big sisters, that's for sure. We're so girly around here, this is going to be an adventure. We found out Tuesday at the ultrasound, the morning after Scott got in. Molly's excited to be getting a baby brother.
